Comparison of ASPIRE Mechanical Thrombectomy Versus AngioJet Thrombectomy System in a Porcine Iliac Vein Thrombosis Model

Both devices had similar thrombectomy efficacy and thrombogenicity response. The ASPIRE catheter incurred less PE and hemolysis compared to the AngioJet device. Vessel wall response by histological analysis and SEM was similar in both groups.
