Replantation of fingers and hand following amputation by fodder (Chara) cutting machine: Our experience of 20 cases

Chances of success rate is more in replanting a finger cut by fodder cutting machine, as it is a sharp cut, provided it is brought in time and preserved in a proper manner. Educating the children and farmers regarding the precautions, first aid and mode of transporting the amputated part and suggesting guidelines to the machine making industries regarding the prevention would be of great help in avoiding such accidents.
