A classification of flag-transitive 2-designs with λ≥(r,λ)2 and sporadic socle

The aim of this paper is to classify the non-symmetric 2-designs with λ≥(r,λ)2 admitting a flag-transitive automorphism group of almost simple type with sporadic socle. We prove that there are exactly such 33 non-isomorphic designs.
