Mercuric chloride-induced testicular toxicity in rats and the protective role of sodium selenite and vitamin E

► Mercuric chloride is a potential pollutant of the environment. ► HgCl2 impaired the activity of SOD, CAT and GPx in testis tissues. ► Sodium selenite and vitamin E are well known antioxidants. ► Their activity was partially recovered by sodium selenite and vitamin E and so on. ► Histological results should be cited.
