► Turnera extract exert significant antioxidant and hepatoprotective activities. ► These extract protect on liver damage by CCl4-induced in rats. ► Flavonoids present in these extract probably exert the antioxidant activity. ► Results corroborate therapeutic potential of Turnera extract.
