Protective effect of aqueous Curry leaf (Murraya koenigii) extract against cadmium-induced oxidative stress in rat heart

► Treatment of rats with a low dose of cadmium chloride caused damage to rat heart. ► This cadmium-induced damage to rat heart was due to oxidative stress. ► Aqueous Curry leaf extract ameliorated these changes by antioxidant mechanism. ► Curry leaf may be considered beneficial to humans exposed to cadmium.
