Comparing anti-hyperglycemic activity and acute oral toxicity of three different trivalent chromium complexes in mice

► Anti-diabetic activity of three different chromium(III) complexes was compared. ► Acute oral toxicity of two different Cr(III) complexes was tested and compared. ► The three Cr(III) complexes exhibited different effect on anti-diabetic activity. ► LD50 values for both Cr(III) complexes were greater than 5.0 g/kg. ► The minimum lethal dose for both Cr(III) complexes were different.
