Nitroderivatives of olive oil phenols protect HepG2 cells against oxidative stress

► Olive oil nitroderivative (OON) treatment reduced ROS production in HepG2 cells. ► Pretreatment with OON in HepG2 cells counteracted induced oxidative stress. ► OON may protect against oxidative stress involved in degenerative diseases.
