Effect of dietary inclusion of salt substitutes “Obu-Otoyo” on some biochemical indices in rat

► The two salts contained a high amount of heavy metals. ► Malondialdehyde (MDA) content of the tissues increased with groups fed Obu-Otoyo diets. ► Dietary inclusion of Obu-Otoyo diet increases plasma liver function enzymes. ► Dietary inclusion of Obu-Otoyo diet increases plasma lipid profile.
