Serum levels of interleukin-13 and interferon-gamma from adult patients with asthma in Mysore

► No significant differences of IFN-gamma and IL-13 between controls and asthmatics. ► IFN-gamma and IL-13 exhibited neutral role in the inflammatory process of asthma. ► Observed wide variation in cytokine levels in subjects of different ethnicities. ► Nonsignificant difference of serum cytokines with the duration of asthma. ► Nonsignificant difference of serum cytokines with sensitization.
