Enhanced proliferation in colorectal epithelium of patients with type 2 diabetes correlates with β-catenin accumulation

Enhanced proliferation, accompanied by increased aerobic glycolysis, was detected in colorectal epithelium of patients with diabetes. β-Catenin accumulation with altered phosphorylation correlated with the proliferative changes.
