Combined analysis of polymorphism variants in hMTH1, hOGG1 and MUTYH genes on the risk of type 2 diabetes in the Chinese population

► hMTH1 c.247G>A variant increased the risk of T2DM in > 55 years of age groups. ► The set of variants in the 5′-UTR of the hOGG1 was associated with the risk of T2DM. ► Variant in MUTYH combined with hMTH1 or hOGG1 variant increased the risk of T2DM.
