Evidence of tRNA cleavage in apicomplexan parasites: Half-tRNAs as new potential regulatory molecules of Toxoplasma gondii and Plasmodium berghei

Exposure of Toxoplasma gondii to various stress stimuli upregulates an endonucleolytic pathway leading to the production of half-tRNA molecules with putative regulatory function.
