Multilocus phylogeography of the Wedge-billed Woodcreeper Glyphorynchus spirurus (Aves, Furnariidae) in lowland Amazonia: Widespread cryptic diversity and paraphyly reveal a complex diversification pattern

► Using a multilocus approach the phylogeography of G. spirurus (Furnariidae) are reconstructed. ► High levels of paraphyletism and genetic divergence are determined. ► Several incongruences with current subspecies taxonomy were found. ► A complex diversification pattern is revealed.
