Molecular phylogeny of the Calanoida (Crustacea: Copepoda)

► The molecular phylogeny is consistent with the earlier morphological analysis. ► All studied superfamilies except the Megacalanoidea were shown to be monophyletic. ► Sister relationship between the Centropagoidea and Clade 4. ► Enlargement of the Bathypontioidea to include the Fosshageniidae. ► Markedly high divergences in species of the Centropagoidea for ribosomal genes.
