Long-term effect of systemic RNA interference on circadian clock genes in hemimetabolous insects

► We studied systemic RNAi for several clock genes in the cricket and the firebrat. ► The most efficient gene knock-down occurred several weeks after the injection. ► In contrast, the injected double-stranded RNA decreased rapidly within a few days.
