The effects of acclimation and rates of temperature change on critical thermal limits in Tenebrio molitor (Tenebrionidae) and Cyrtobagous salviniae (Curculionidae)

► Rates of temperature change have opposite effects on critical thermal limits. ► CTmax shows little response to acclimation. ► The response to 35 °C acclimation of CTmin is complete within 24 h. ► The time course of acclimation in Cyrtobagous salviniae is 2-3 days. ► Time course of reversal of acclimation > time course of acclimation.
