Taste neophobia and palatability: The pleasure of drinking

► We examined whether palatability changes as a function of taste familiarity. ► As expected, taste familiarity increased the amount consumed. ► We also found that lick cluster size increased as the taste became familiar. ► Results demonstrate that neophobia modulates taste palatability.
