Spectrographic analyses reveal signals of individuality and kinship in the ultrasonic courtship vocalizations of wild house mice

► Male house mice produce ultrasonic courtship vocalization which attracts females. ► Females discriminate between ultrasonic courtship calls of kin and non-kin. ► We conducted spectrographic and temporal analyses of these vocalizations. ► We identified signatures of kinship and individuality in the males' vocalization.
