Influence of diurnal phase on startle response in adult rats exposed to dexamethasone in utero

► An increased basal startle is not exclusively dependent on diurnal phase. ► We have replicated our animal model in a new rat strain and second laboratory. ► An increased startle was observed irrespective of cross-fostering. ► Prenatal manipulation may found the phenotype observed.
