Adiponectin and progression of arterial stiffness in hypertensive patients

► The association between adiposity and hypertension has been well documented. ► We sought to reveal what adipokine is related with arterial stiffening. ► Plasma adiponectin levels are associated with arterial stiffening in hypertensive patients. ► These findings may partly explain the high association between adiposity and hypertension.
