Incorporating structural information from the multichannel EEG improves patient-specific seizure detection

► We present a patient-specific seizure detection algorithm conveying structural information from the multichannel EEG using a novel machine learning technique applied to epileptic EEG data for the first time. ► The proposed system automatically incorporates crucial spatial information specific to the patient's seizure and facilitates improved detection performance. ► The proposed system reduces the number of required seizure examples, thus the training time needed to tune the system to individual patients.
