Cortical sources of resting state EEG rhythms are abnormal in dyslexic children

► Resting state alpha rhythms are abnormal in dyslexics relating to reading deficits. The cortical EEG sources estimated by low resolution electromagnetic tomography (LORETA). ► Lower amplitude of posterior alpha sources in dyslexic subjects and these posterior sources were correlated to reading time of pseudo-words. ► Dyslexia could be related to an impairment of cortical neuronal synchronization mechanisms.
