Error probability of intracranial brain computer interfaces under non-task elicited brain states

► Intracranial brain computer interfaces can be connected to the cortex permanently and, in such neural implants, non-task elicited brain activity generates false alarms. ► We compute the error probability for extensive recordings of non-task elicited ECoG. ► We investigate the dynamics of false alarms and introduce strategies to reduce them.
