Kaolinite-urea complexes obtained by mechanochemical and aqueous suspension techniques-A comparative study

With mechanochemical intercalation, kaolinites were almost fully expanded after 1 h of grinding. The produced intercalation compounds have lower crystallite sizes than those obtained by the solution method.
