A general method to synthesis of amphiphilic colloidal nanoparticles of CdS and noble metals

Poly(N-isopropylacrylamide) is grafted to CdS and noble metals nanoparticles to synthesize amphibious colloids which can be homogeneously dispersed both in aqueous and organic milieu. The resultant colloids are thermoresponsive in water.
