EPS biofouling in membrane filtration: An analytic modeling study

Biofouling in reverse osmosis and nanofiltration is theoretically investigated by modeling solute transport within a biofilm, which is defined as a swarm of solid biocolloids surrounded by liquid-like, exopolymeric substances (EPS).
