Contemporary Trends in the Utilization of Radiotherapy in Patients With Renal Cell Carcinoma

In the National Cancer Data Base, we observed a decrease in the use of RT for patients with RCC from 1998 to 2010. Patients with more aggressive disease characteristics were more likely to receive RT. Well-designed clinical trials are needed to clarify the role of RT in the management of these patients.
