Lubrication of polyether ether ketone (PEEK) surface by liquid ultrathin films for high wear durability

► PEEK was lubricated by perfluropolyether and Multiply-Alkylated Cyclopentane (MAC). ► Slightly rough PEEK surface with lubricants reduces friction and increases wear life. ► For thinner lubricant films, MAC gives better wear life than that for PFPE.
