Cytoreductive surgery plus HIPEC in platinum-sensitive recurrent ovarian cancer patients: A case-control study on survival in patients with two year follow-up

► In this study, survival and duration of secondary response is longer in recurrent platinum-sensitive cases treated with SCR-HIPEC (Cases). ► These data are statistically significant when compared to a similar group of women not experimenting HIPEC (Controls). ► This management, SCR plus HIPEC followed by systemic chemotherapy, might be the treatment of choice in selected recurrent platinum-sensitive patients.
