Electrophysiological evidence for attenuated auditory recovery cycles in children with specific language impairment

► We use ERPs to examine auditory recovery cycles in young children with SLI. ► At short inter-stimulus intervals only, children with SLI show attenuated responses. ► This effect differs in laterality for linguistic and non-linguistic stimuli. ► However, the effect is uninfluenced by the direction of selective auditory attention.
