Production of functional recombinant G-protein coupled receptors for heteromerization studies

► We cloned A2A, D2 and H3 receptors into fluorescent/luminescent vectors. ► Their localization, expression and ERK1/2 phosphorylation potency were investigated. ► The recombinant receptors were functional and expressed in the plasma membrane. ► Heteromerization studies between them might yield new drugs for Parkinson's disease.
