A new cross-correlation algorithm for the analysis of “in vitro” neuronal network activity aimed at pharmacological studies

► Development of an intra network burst correlation algorithm suitable for pharmacological studies of drugs affecting neuronal network functionalities. ► Higher sensitivity of this algorithm compared with others algorithms recently proposed in the literature. ► Our work highlights the possibility to use this methodology in classical pharmacological experiments, with the advantage of studying the effect of drugs on the comprehensive correlative properties of integrated neuronal networks.
