Neuroanatomical study on the tecto-suprageniculate-dorsal auditory cortex pathway in the rat

► Neurons in the deep layers of SC massively projected to SG. ► Te2D received projections mainly from the rostral part of SG. ► Tectal axon terminals made synaptic contacts to SG neurons projecting to Te2D. ► Te2D also received projections from auditory, visual and parietal cortices.
