Age-dependent regulation of depression-like behaviors through modulation of adrenergic receptor α1A subtype expression revealed by the analysis of interleukin-1 receptor antagonist knockout mice

▶IL-1Ra KO mice show anti-depression-like behavior at the younger age. ▶Contents of monoamines in the cortex are not different between the genotypes. ▶The mRNA expression of the ARα1A in the cortex is increased at the younger age. ▶This behavioral abnormality is caused by the modulation of the adrenergic system.
