Interpreting outputs of agent-based models using abundance-occupancy relationships

► Interpreting outputs of agent-based models for stakeholders are challenging. ► Here, we develop the AOR-index to facilitate such interpretation. ► The AOR-index can evaluate species responses to e.g. land use scenarios. ► We test the AOR-index using an agent-based model framework (ALMaSS). ► The AOR-index allows for comparisons across model species and scenarios.
