Cattle-raising and public credit in rural settlements in Eastern Amazon

► Public credit has little effect on increasing the establishment of pastureland. ► The intensity of pastureland planting is higher in small farms. ► Farms with less time in cattle-raising are planting pastureland more intensively. ► The small farms have difficulties to access public credit. ► Small farms have strong constraints to diversify cattle-raising activity.
