- Nanobiocomposite (NBC) hydrogel was modified using TETA and β-cyclodextrin (CD).
- Hg (II) uptake potential of TETA-NBC and CD-NBC were compared.
- Differential interactions of TETA-NBC and CD-NBC with gluteraldehyde were noted.
- Equilibrium, kinetic, salt and co-ion based studies were conducted.
- Ex situ studies confirmed the potential of TETA-NBC when compared with Amberilite.
