Modeling fusion of cellular aggregates in biofabrication using phase field theories

► A new phase field model is developed to study fusion of cellular aggregates/clusters. ► Both long range attractive and short range repulsive interactions to separate the aggregates initially are identified. ► The model is used to study the making of tissues/organs in simple geometries by bioprinting.
