► Aphid-resistant soybeans negatively affect the parasitoid Aphidius colemani. ► In choice and no-choice tests, parasitism rates were higher on susceptible plants. ► Negative effects were both direct and indirect. ► Direct effects included increased handling time and reduced preference by wasps. ► Indirect effects included decreased offspring survivorship and body weight.
