Using life-history parameters and a degree-day model to predict climate suitability in England for the Japanese knotweed psyllid Aphalara itadori Shinji (Hemiptera: Psyllidae)

► We investigated life-table parameters of knotweed psyllid at 15, 20, 25 and 30 °C. ► Their phenology and voltinism were predicted using a degree-day model. ► We concluded that the knotweed psyllid should be able to establish and increase its population in England.
