Cutting oil removal by continuous froth flotation with packing media under low interfacial tension conditions

► A froth flotation unit operated in a continuous mode was applied for oily wastewater treatment. ► Maximum process performance was obtained at low interfacial tension with the use of a packed column. ► Under the optimum operating conditions, the highest cutting oil removal of about 98% was achieved.
