Anti-microbial approach onto cationic-exchange membranes

► Bilayer coating association of PDADMAC and PSS polyelectrolytes was deposited onto Nafion® 117 membrane. ► Bilayer was used as a none permanent coating usable as anti-biofouling strategy. ► Anti-biofouling strategy occurred in a cycle of three steps. ► Validation of the complete cycle occurred after regeneration in NaCl 1 M. ► Efficiency of the cycle was follow by NaCl permeability and AFM morphology analysis.
