Precombustion CO2 capture by means of phenol-formaldehyde resin-derived carbons: From equilibrium to dynamic conditions

► Two PF resin-based carbons have been tested for precombustion CO2 capture. ► CO2 capture tests were conducted under equilibrium and dynamic conditions. ► Breakthrough capacities reached 5.8 mmol g−1 at 318 K and 15 bar. ► PF carbons showed good cyclability and regenerability over consecutive PTSA cycles.
