Introducing different poly (vinyl alcohol)s as new flocculant for kaolinated waste water

► First report of PVA as flocculant for kaolin suspension. ► Flocculation efficiency is a function of PVA molecular weight, pH and nature of surfactant. ► Low molecular weight PVA at pH 4 in presence of cationic surfactant gives best performance.
