A novel strategy for salts recovery from 1,3-propanediol fermentation broth by bipolar membrane electrodialysis

► A novel salts reused strategy from 1, 3-propanadiol fermentation broth was proved. ► Succinic acid could be recovered and Na+ can be reused for adjusting pH. ► The utmost utilization of salts in 1,3-PD fermentation broth was realized. ► The emission of wastes was reduced by using the new strategy.
