Adsorption equilibrium data for the pure component H2, CH4, and C2H4, and their binary and ternary mixtures have been measured on activated carbon. The experimental measurements were done by a static method in the pressures up to 2 MPa at temperatures of 293.15, 303.15, and 313.15 K. Langmuir, Langmuir–Freundlich (L–F), and Flory–Huggins vacancy solution model (F–H VSM) were used to correlate the experimental pure component isotherm data. It was found that the L–F isotherm and F–H VSM show better fitting accuracy than the other isotherm models. Mixture adsorption equilibrium data on the activated carbon were predicted by the extended Langmuir, extended L–F, ideal adsorbed solution theory (IAST), and vacancy solution model (VSM).
