Degradation of organic pollutants in waters by a water-insoluble iron(III) Schiff base complex

- Water insoluble Fe-SAP was prepared and used as photocatalyst with H2O2.
- 1O2 rather than OH in Fe-SAP/H2O2 system under visible light is the primary ROS.
- The catalytic activity of Fe-SAP decreased with the decrease of the adsorption capacity.
