Colorless alkaline solution of chloride-free gold acetate for impregnation: An innovative method for preparing highly active Au nanoparticles catalyst

- Gold acetate dissolved into Na2CO3 aq. solution to afford Cl−-free Au(III) solution.
- Au nanoparticles smaller than 6 nm can be deposited by impregnation.
- Any type of metal oxide can be available irrespective of its isoelectricpoint.
- Au/CeO2 is more active for CO oxidation compared with the conventional DP catalyst.
- Au/saponite clay is dispersed well in water and quite active for glucose oxidation.
