Esterification of lactic acid over TiO2-ZrO2 catalysts

▶ Catalyst with a Ti/Zr atomic ratio of 3/1 had the best activity. ▶ Catalyst with a Ti/Zr atomic ratio of 1/1 had the maximum acidity and area. ▶ Turnover frequency correlated well with surface acidic site density.
